
The Officer, Community Health Worker is integral to the Community Health Workers (CHWs) structure, focusing on the detection, reporting, and response to health events at the community level. This position will engage in the integrated supervision of disease worker activities and contribute to the improvement of worker indicators for vaccine-preventable diseases within the assigned health zone. The role involves close collaboration with the primary health facility and authorities in assigned community to enhance local disease worker and ensure timely interventions.

· Conduct the community-based worker (CBS) activities using standard tools, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of health events including Acute Flaccid Paralysis and other vaccine preventable diseases.
· Collect, compile, and report CBS data, and maintain a reliable database for tracking trends and potential outbreaks
· Participate in regular training sessions for CHWs on worker techniques, data collection, and reporting protocols.
· Ensure the availability of material resources (sampling kits, investigation forms, logistical sheets, etc.) in the health facilities visited.
· Build the capacity of key informants in disease worker
· Participate in rapid response at community level during health events or outbreaks, in coordination with primary health facility and local health authorities.
· Ensure proper collection and quality of the collected samples and their transport to the health facilities.
· Work with CHWs to develop and disseminate health education materials tailored to community needs and cultural practices.
· Serve as the key liaison between CHWs, local health facilities, and regional health authorities to ensure a cohesive approach to public health worker.

ü Typically, bachelor's degree in public health, nursing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ü Experience in community health, worker, or a related area.
ü Strong leadership and organizational skills.
ü Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
ü Fluency in local languages.
