The Daily Field Assistant is playing a field role in the activity implementation and is in charge of carrying out the beneficiary assistance and implementing the community-based activity process as well at the site level, in addition to that support and facilitating other org activities that are carried out in managed areas.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly-
The role reports to : Program Officer
- Staff reporting to this post: N/A.
Ensure the program activity implementation daily for community-based activity in assigned Camp/IDP Site(s).
Share the daily progress reports of the program activities.
Update the population statistics of targeted locations, verify the number of households and populations as well as report on any required modification (include new arrivals, exclude departures etc.).
Ensure effective distribution of diesel, kerosene, gas cylinders, and other NFIs at the site level in coordination with the line manager.
Conduct the flour distribution by attending bakeries during the process.
Conducting the bakery survey by visiting the bakeries and following up on the progress to monitor the data.
Following the bakeries’ operation under his/her area of operation and checking the flour quality and the bread at the bakeries daily.
Participate in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of flour and yeast, and other quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) requests from line managers.
Field visits to contracted bakeries, follow-up on flour and yeast distribution.
Ability to cover program activities during weekends and public holidays.
Covering for another team member when they are absent as per supervisor’s instruction
Diploma degree in relevant field
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:
Experience in data collection, survey, and data analysis is preferred.
Experience in Voucher programs.
Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Good skills in Arabic and English language.
Ability to travel to all the program areas in Derik, Qamishli, and Newroz camp and any other areas in northeast Syria.
Good skill in ODK/KOBO.
