The HR Officer will be expected to provide HR Support in the areas of recruitment, learning and development, staff orientation and Induction processes, management of leaves, document management, monthly HR reporting, HR Investigations, preparation of contracts, and supporting line managers with performance management, for all Syria Service Contractors.
Managing the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial assessments. Coordinate the selection process and facilitate new staff onboarding, including orientation, documentation, and system setup.
Provide staff with support on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
Update the local national staff list on a weekly basis to reflect any changes in staff information, including new hires and exits. Ensure detailed documentation of any updates. Administer the performance appraisal system, ensuring adherence to timelines, and working closely with line managers to monitor and implement staff performance improvement plans.
Maintain accurate staff records, including personal information and leave management, ensuring data integrity.
Guide NES Team and building capacity and training when necessary.
Registering new staff fingerprint.
Prepare end-of-contract notification letters for staff and manage the exit process, including email deactivations and record updates for replacements.
Establish and maintain personnel files (both hard and soft copies) for all national staff, uploading them onto the Syria Global Drive.
Co-ordinate induction sessions on the mandatory trainings for all staff and keep a record of attendance
Provide reports on staff anniversaries, recruitment metrics, and headcount upon request.
Maintain the Leave Tracker for Syria staff by processing leave forms, providing leave balances, and keeping the tracker up to date.
Ensure that cases involving conflicts of interest are properly recorded, monitored, and reported to the Senior HR Officer.
Take on additional responsibilities as required.
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
