Coordinate the design, implementation, and evaluation of protection - related programming with partners. Contribute to and facilitate a program of results - based protection programming through a consultative process with sector and / or cluster partners. Also, Ensure that Blumont age, gender and diversity approach to protection is consistently applied through community - based protection methods. 

 

-The role reports to (Program Coordinator)

-Staff reporting to this post: (Social Workers, Librarians & Community Mobilizers) 

 

- Follow up the work of the protection team on a daily basis and prepare daily reports . 

- Preparing the monthly plan with the team . 

- Coordination of trainings and the international day’s events 

- Follow up on the warehouse report . 

- Preparing evaluating and following up them the BOQ`s for the protection materials. 

- Collect and archive all papers for the protection team . 

- Follow up success stories with the team and beneficiaries. 

- Provide feedback and support to the Program Coordinator to ensure that all project activities been designed with gender sensitive and protection - integrated approaches, with the needs of women, girls, boys, and men having been clearly considered and included in the design.

- Support learning on protection and child Protection related topics and technical briefs for sharing with National Office and key stakeholders. 

- In operations applying the Cluster Approach, ensure the Protection Cluster covers all assessed and prioritized protection needs of the affected populations. 

- Utilize and adapt Protection and Behavioral Change learning from monitoring and evaluation processes to inform Humanitarian Intervention. 

- Ensure equity in protection (gender, child protection, disability) by focusing on the Most Vulnerable. 

- Monitor and follow up the political, social, economic, and cultural developments that have an impact on the protection environment. 

- Develop activity work plan with MEL plan per need.

- Provide support on overall wellbeing and PSS to staff for the whole program. - Promote International and National Law and applicable Blumont standards and ensure that all sectors and or clusters in applicable operations fulfill their protection mainstreaming responsibilities. 

- Comply with the Humanitarian principles, program requirements and operational policies and report any concerns through the appropriate mechanism. 

- Write success stories related to program and project developments as they relate to protection issues. 

 

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Conduct meeting with other NGOs working in the field for their monthly plan and coordinate to ensure there is no duplication in their activities (educational, creational, PSS, CP activities and awareness campaigns). 
  2.  

 

  1. BA degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or other relevant sections. 

 

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS: 

- Experience from working as a support function officer in a humanitarian / recovery context, 

- previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. 

- Minimum 1 year related experience in similar field - The candidate must also have the ability to forge strong partnerships with government entities, UN agencies, and NGOs to facilitate the operation's protection objectives. 

- Work experience with child protection, protection mainstreaming and GBV. 

 

Skills/Competencies: 

- Good in English, and Arabic languages. 

- Good experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, and outlook). 

- Have high standards of ethics and integrity. 

- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships. 

- Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups. 

- Resilience along with ability to assess situations. 

- Good leadership skills. 

- The candidate must also have the ability to forge strong agencies, and NGOs/INGOs to facilitate the operation's protection objectives. 

- Willing to submit to background checks.
