Position summary:
 

Blumont is recruiting 13 Community Mobilizers (10 in Al Hol and 3 in Roj Camp) to support social cohesion and protection activities in Al-Hol and Roj Camps. This role is critical to reducing tensions, improving well-being, and preparing residents for voluntary and dignified returns. Mobilizers will lead information campaigns, facilitate psychosocial support sessions, and organize community-led initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence and resilience. 
 


 

Community Mobilizers will: 
 

  • · Disseminate accurate information on return/repatriation processes.  
     
  • · Support residents through structured and unstructured psychosocial activities.  
     
  • · Ensure strict adherence to GBV guiding principles and child safeguarding standards. 
     

This is a local role; no expat benefits will be provided. Applicants must indicate the location(s) they are applying for in the application form.        
 



 

  • Conduct information campaigns and awareness sessions specifically designated for returns and repatriation.  
     
  • · Coordinate and hold one-on-one sessions with departing Syrian and Iraqi households. 
     
  • · Work with case management staff to ensure that departing households have been registered in Blumont’s case management system.   
     
  • · Facilitate sessions on protection, health, hygiene, and social cohesion topics. 
     
  • · Organize community-led initiatives and events to promote non-violence and peaceful coexistence.  
     
  • · Empower women and adolescent girls through targeted sessions and leadership activities. 
     
  • · Assist in organizing recreational and life skills activities for children, youth, and caregivers.  
     
  • · Support mutual support groups and refer cases to specialized services as needed. 
     
  • · Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during all activities. 
     
  • · Assist in designing IEC materials and monitoring tools for awareness sessions. 
     
  • · Support distribution of reintegration support packages and community rehabilitation projects.

  • · Participate in mobile team deployments during emergencies. 
     
  • · Outreach beneficiaries and form groups for sessions. 
     
  • · Maintain confidentiality of all the information collected in exercise of the job. 
     
  • · Provide feedback, and support to the Protection Officer to ensure that all project activities. 
     
  • · Coordinate with other relevant resources to ensure the delivery of further community awareness sessions on health and hygiene topics. 
     
  • · Provide feedback and support to the community Mobilization Officer to ensure that all project activities are designed with gender sensitive and protection-integrated approaches, with the needs of women, girls, boys, and men having been clearly considered and included in the design. 
     
  • · Plan, coordinate, manage and implement support packages to help camp residents overcome challenges and dependencies. 
     
  • · Prepare daily and monthly reports and submit to the Community Mobilization Officer.  
     
  • · Document success stories and collect feedback from participants.  
     



 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, education, or other relevant  
     
  • · Minimum of three years working experience in community service. 
     


 

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS 
 

  • · Fluency in written and spoken Arabic; English working proficiency is an asset.  
     
  • · Two years working experience in the NGO/INGOs. 
     
  • · Proven work experience as aCommunity Mobilizer. 
     
  • · Strong computer literacy and numeracy skills, and experience with office software packages (MS Word, Excel). 
     
  • · Previous experience in child protection, protection mainstreaming and GBV. 
     
  • · Ability to build and maintain professional relationships. 
     
  • · Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups. 
     
  • · Resilience along with ability to assess situations. 
     
  • · Have high standards of ethics and integrity. 
     
  • · Willing to submit to background checks
