This role involves supporting the daily operations of the oncology project, coordinating with the Project Officer,
Health manager, and directorate of health, timely reporting, and resolution of challenges. Key responsibilities include
assisting incident reporting, managing staff schedules, providing administrative support, organizing staff leave, and
contributing to the assessment of security risks to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the oncology
project. The Oncology Project Assistant will also collaborate with the oncology team to ensure smooth project
execution, support patient care initiatives, and help maintain a safe and compliant environment for staff and patients
Assist the Project Officer in the following:
- Submit comprehensive reports to the Project Officer detailing oncology project-related needs, challenges, and operational gaps.
- Maintain proactive collaboration with project managers to address facility-related matters and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Guarantee timely and accurate submission of all mandated reports to the organization, adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.
- Support daily operations of the oncology project, including staff performance, workflow efficiency, and fulfillment of the facility's core requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of data collected across oncology departments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights.
- Promptly notify the Project Officer of incidents or emergencies, followed by thorough documentation and incident reporting.
- Assist in managing staff scheduling, including daily attendance tracking for medical and administrative personnel, to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Coordinate leave schedules for oncology staff, balancing operational demands with employee well-being.
- Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any challenges encountered during follow-up
- Engage in regular consultations with the local authority to solicit feedback, address concerns, and foster collaborative decision-making
Mandatory Qualifications required
• Diploma or degree in administration, informatics, computer science, health institute, or any related field from
an accredited institute or college.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the relevant field.
