RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS DESCRIPTION
Under the management of the Health and Inclusion Project supervisor, the Translator will provide translation services to health department. According to the position, the Translator must keep all the data confidential and share it only with the designated persons. Should the employee not comply with these rules, he/she will be charged with serious professional misconduct..
Responsibilities:
1. TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENTS · Written translation of official documents related to health department from Arabic into English and vice versa 2. TRANSLATION FOR TRAININGS: · Translation/interpretation from Arabic into English and vice versa during health activities between staff and beneficiaries or during trainings and meetings. 3. TRANSLATION OF EXTERNAL MEETINGS · Supporting HI's employees with translation and interpretation during external meetings with local authorities, local organization and local partners. · Supporting HI's employees with translation and interpretation during field visits. 4. REPORTING · Providing any additional support upon request from Line Manager

Experience and Technical Competencies:
Language Proficiency · Fluency in English, and Arabic, both in writing and speaking, is mandatory. Computer Skills · Proficiency in computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Communication Skills · Very good communication and active listening skills are expected. · Cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as translation, linguistics, or language studies.
Experience
- Experience in technical health, medicine, rehabilitation, MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support), and P&O (Prosthetics and Orthotics) field translation is necessary.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in medical interpretation is required, preferably with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
