- Lead the design of structural components for recreational areas within shelter centers, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project objectives.
- Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications to guide implementation.
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring full compliance with approved drawings, safety
protocols, and technical requirements.
- Evaluate and approve construction materials to ensure quality, durability, and adherence to safety codes.
- Track construction timelines and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Produce regular progress reports that capture achievements, challenges, and recommended mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all construction activities are conducted in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.
- Coordinate effectively with suppliers and contractors, and support both interim and final handover processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in structural construction and site supervision.
- Prior experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or in humanitarian/development contexts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with remote areas, informal settlements, or emergency response environments.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable and off-grid construction solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
- High-level organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Arabic and good command of English (spoken and written).
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports in English.
- Willingness to work in field-based settings (up to 90% of the time).
