The Shelter and WASH Junior Officer is responsible for leading the implementation of Shelter and WASH activities in the field;

  • Private repairs activities in Sabka, in Raqqa countryside.
  • Rehabilitation of IDPs collective centers, in Raqqa and Tapqa.
  • Distribution of Core Relief Items (NFIs) in Deir ezzor countryside.
  • He/she handles assessments, technical monitoring, field-level supervision, and ensures daily coordination with facilitators and workers under guidance from the Officer.
  • Manages, Shelter & NFIs Assistants and daily workers; oversees task execution and daily communications, and tasks distribution.

  •  Monitors and supervises implementation of field activities such as shelter repairs, rehabilitation of the CCs, distribution of NFIs, water trucking, and sanitation works.

  • Conducts field assessments for Shelter and WASH activities, collecting technical data, photos, and vulnerability information.

  • Prepares technical study inputs (BoQs, sketches, site visit reports) based on field data and shares them with the technical team.

  • Prepares monthly timesheets for facilitators and assistants and ensures timely submission.

  • Manages daily operational needs in the field (fleet requests, materials, basic coordination with logistics).

  • Raises any access, quality, or implementation issues from the field to the responsible Officer.

  • Prepares weekly activity progress reports and shares regular updates with supervisors.

  • Prepares final documentation including Certificates of Completion and Handover Agreements.

  • Archives documents on SH-P in line with PIN’s internal procedures.

  • Performs other duties as required by the line manager.

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a relevant technical institute.
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience in Shelter and NFIs activities.
  • Good experience in field supervision and preparing technical documentation.
  • Ability to spend most of the time in the field (75%)
  • Good reporting and communication skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic, English languages is a bonus.
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and ability to work in challenging field environments.
