CHF is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable
changes that improve the lives and livelihood of the vulnerable. in Syria, CHF is providing humanitarian support to vulnerable
individuals through general protection, child protection and GBV activities and seeks a CM officer to lead and support the
implementation of activities and operations in north Syria through case management for vulnerable individuals. This position
reports to the Protection Manager and is responsible for supervising the implementation of the CP and GBV case
management activities with children, survivors and victims of CP and GBV in Syria.
 

• Supervise the provision of age-appropriate and survivor-centered CP and GBV case management and Problem
Management Plus (PM+) services to vulnerable children, victims and survivors of CP and GBV of different equality
groups, including elderly and PWD, in line with the Inter-Agency and CHF CP & GBV Case Management Guidelines,
including supervision of the assessment of survivor’s needs, the provision of basic counseling, the development
and implementation of care plans, the support provision and implementation of safety plans, and the provision of
support to access services, including Cash for Protection in line with client’s wishes and best interest.
• Supervise and revise the documentation of service provision and maintenance of case files. Train, coach and
supervise CP & GBV Case Workers on GBVIMS and CPIMS data entry, or alternative CM tracking systems, ensuring
it is accurately updated on a regular basis.
• Ensure the CM team adhere to strict data protection and information-sharing protocol to protect the privacy,
confidentiality, and safety of survivors.
• Coordinate closely with the CP & GBV Case Workers and provide technical support as needed.
• Lead regular case review meetings, case discussions and coaching sessions.
• Provide information on available services and support CP & GBV Case Workers in referrals, accompaniment,
service coordination and follow-up, and participation in referral systems/pathways.
• Coordinate with other protection sub-sector and service providers and community focal points to strengthen
access to services and build support for survivors, including regularly updating the service mapping.
• Support in organizing and participate in case management meetings and case conferences, as required with other
service providers.
• Identify age, gender, and disability-sensitive risks, threats, vulnerabilities with regular monitoring of wellbeing and
negative coping strategies.
• Lead the interpretation of the analyzed data on trends and work with Protection Manager and in coordination
with the CP & GBV Case Workers, to raise information to all relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the preparation of all relevant internal and external reports.
• Coordinate closely with the Protection Manager and seek support as needed.
• Support in other relevant tasks as assigned by the Protection Manager.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.
• Foster a safe and supportive working environment for all the case management team and partners.
• Adhere and ensure CP & GBV Case Workers are adhering to CHF code of conduct, Child Safeguarding policy, GBV
Minimum Standards and Child Protection Minimum Standards, including confidentiality, respect, nondiscrimination, responsible use of power, non-violence, do no harm and promotion of gender equality.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology or equivalent experience. Experience can be substituted for a degree,
in the equivalent of 2 years relevant experience for 1 year of education.
• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience such as in case management and/or in protection
programming
• Experience in CP & GBV CM supervision and GBVIMS or CPIMS is required.
• Experience working in camps or in insecure environments.
• Familiarity with humanitarian and CP & GBV related technical guidelines and standards, including CP & GBV
Minimum Standards, and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
• Demonstrated experience and skills in social work, case management or psychology.
• Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
• Computer literacy skills.
• Strong organizational and team working skills.
• Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Syrian national.
• Integrity, transparency, and strong work ethics.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) are required.
• Ability to work under pressure and with limited supervision.
• Experience with needs and risk assessments.
• Commitment, patience, and resilience.
• Able to cope with traumatic situations.
• Willingness to travel across NES.
