Job Summary 
The Daily Worker will support the GSLA Assistant (Group Savings and Loan Association (GSLA – also known as VSLA) who has the overall responsibility to support the creation and empowerment of GSLAs being simple savings and loan association in a community that does not have easy access to formal financial services and contribute to building self-resilience of these communities.

Job Duties:

The Daily Worker will support the GSLA Assistant in the following areas:

Project Implementation 
•    Assist the GSLA Assistant to prepare group formations and provide a clear understanding of GSLA concepts to beneficiaries.
•    Provide continuous support to the supervisor in planning, organizing, and management of GSLA activities.
•    Ensure all GSLA beneficiaries are properly mentored and supported throughout the project. 
•    Train beneficiaries on Financial Literacy as well as the GSLA methodology, groups/cooperatives, marketing and Income generating activities.

Monitoring, Reporting and Assessment
•    Conduct regular follow-up visits to GSLAs, gather feedback from beneficiaries and provide documentation and dissemination of key findings stemming from monitoring, assessment, and other learning activities.
•    Provide feedback to the programme team based on the field monitoring visits.
•    Report the weekly activities and participate in general reporting.
•    Report any problems encountered in the field, such as project participant/stakeholder complaints, to the Senior Program Officer & Senior PC.

Representation and Communication
•    Follow-up on administrative and logistics matters related directly to activities: timesheets, payment schedules, required paperwork, liaison with other departments etc.
•    Maintain open and professional relations with team members and promoting a strong team spirit.
•    Be flexible and motivated to perform tasks other than the above, in line with requests from the line manager.
•    Complete other activities as directed by the Line Manager and performing all other tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of our organization with a generous and serving spirit.

Education / Experience Needed
•    University degree (Bachelor) in Social Studies, Business Administration, micro finance, Engineering, Economics or similar
•    Understanding of the local socio-political and economic context
•    Experience in financial administration as well as enterprise/ business development, Value chain development 
•    Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, trainings monitoring of programs and reporting of activities are required.
•    Preferable working experience with an NGO, international organization, preferable relevant GSLA & business development and economic empowerment
LANGUAGE  
Arabic, English and Kurdish are required.

REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.

o    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be exposed to loud noises around the maintenance and construction workshops.
o    May travel in country with exposure to communicable diseases, hot and humid weather conditions.
