Support the FSL team to implement activities in agriculture and livestock sectors. Main focus will be helping with trainings for farmers and herders, supporting irrigation system setup, and assisting with the distribution of inputs and livestock health kits.
List of Main Responsibilities:
Training Support – Agriculture and Livestock (Main Task):
Assist in preparing and delivering training sessions on good agricultural practices, livestock care, composting, and
Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA).
Support farmers and herders during hands-on trainings (e.g., borehole maintenance, irrigation use, composting).
Distribute training materials (guides, posters) during sessions.
Ensure participants understand the training and provide basic follow-up support in the field.
Help with the installation and follow-up of irrigation systems (drip/sprinkle) and solarized boreholes.
Monitor borehole functionality and report issues to the FSL team.
Provide basic guidance to farmers on using irrigation tools.
Support the distribution of seeds, fertilizers, compost kits, irrigation tools, and livestock fodder/health kits.
Record and document distributions (beneficiary lists, items received).
Give simple instructions to beneficiaries on how to use the items properly.
Collect data during field visits (registration, feedback, surveys) using Kobo/ODK tools.
Share daily updates with the supervisor about activities, challenges, and observations from the field.
Report any community concerns or potential problems related to project activities.
Coordinate with local leaders and authorities to ensure smooth implementation.
Follow SI’s rules and safety policies, including respectful and inclusive behavior.
