VAWG prevention worker will support GBV coordinator in supervising partner’s implementation of VAWG activities, and ensuring the implementation is in line with protection strategy of the organization and adhere to humanitarian principles, organization policies, procedures, projects’ objectives and activities and donors’ requirements.
Monitoring:
- Support and monitor implementing VAWG activities by the partner.
- Make sure that the partner’s facilitators are using and implementing the sessions according to guidance of the couple’s curriculum, by participating in the sessions.
- Monitor gender champions messages and make sure that the gender champions are using the best ways and mechanisms for disseminating community level intervention messages.
conduct field Visit and using VAWG tools in Areesha sub-district.
Support and coordination:
- Support the partner in weekly planning for couple’s sessions and women committee sessions.
- In coordination with the partner make sure that all sessions are implemented according to the plans.
- In collaboration with partner team fill monthly observation form and share it with the organization.
- Participant in monthly check ins with partner team to discuss all challenges, and recommendations about all implemented sessions.
- With partner team review all daily session report and facilitators’ self-assessment and make sure that all are reflected on monthly assessment.
- Participate in regular meetings between the organization and the partner to reflect all updates.
- Build friendly relationships with the local community.
Capacity building and training:
- With GBV coordinator provide training for partner facilitators regarding GBV topics.
- Provide technical support for partner’s facilitators regarding GBV and sensitive topics.
- Attend relevant trainings on Protection, GBV, Psychosocial Support and others when requested.
Provide technical support for the gender champions regarding community level intervention messaging.
Other tasks:
- Submit daily briefs for field visits.
- Other tasks requested by the supervisor
- Experience in working with NGOs for 2 years, and 1 year working in protection field.
- Demonstrated excellent writing and editing skills in Arabic.
- Strong presentation, and commination skills.
- Experience in monitoring and following up implementing and conducting sessions in any of humanitarian context.
