In preparation for future humanitarian and development programmes across Syria, Action for Humanity (AFH) is establishing a roster of qualified and experienced professionals.
This initiative aims to identify competent candidates in advance and build a reliable talent pool that will enable AFH to respond efficiently to future recruitment needs and mobilise skilled teams when new programmes and funding opportunities arise.
Shortlisted applicants will undergo the relevant technical assessments and selection checks. Candidates who successfully complete the process will be included in AFH’s talent roster and may be considered for suitable positions based on future programme requirements, location, experience and the availability of funding.
Inclusion in the roster does not constitute an immediate offer or guarantee of employment. However, roster members may be prioritised for consideration when relevant vacancies become available.
Qualified professionals who are motivated to contribute to humanitarian response and sustainable development in Syria are encouraged to apply for the positions listed below.
KEY Responsibilities:
Provide photo and video coverage of AFH projects (when requested)
Maintain office media archive
Prepare and retouch photos as needed
Design campaigns for social media use
Edit videos into promos as requested
Design brochures and other material as needed
Perform any other task requested by the line manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Preferred Bachelors or Diploma in Public Relations, journalism or related field Relevant experience would be considered
General Work Experience:
experience in working in media/communications, preferably in a humanitarian organization
Experience in photography and video
Skills:
Languages:
Excellent in English (Writing-Reading-Speaking)
Excellent in Arabic (Writing-Reading-Speaking)
Computing:
Good level in Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc,)
Good knowledge of photo and design software (Adobe software)
Film editing software (Adobe software)
Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
Abilities:
To support the communication and media work of AFH
To assist Media Manager in daily duties as requested
To show commitment to social justice and the mission of AFH as an organization
To demonstrate commitment to high professional ethical standards
