- Perform general cleaning duties across offices and facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and restrooms.
- Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities to ensure all areas meet organizational standards.
- Undertake heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Report deficiencies, damages, or repair needs to management promptly.
- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Stock, organize, and maintain supply rooms, ensuring availability of necessary cleaning and office supplies.
- Provide support to other staff members to help achieve organizational goals when required.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and safe handling of chemicals.
- Proper use and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Commitment to high standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.
- Ability to safely handle heavy equipment and machinery.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Proven experience as a cleaner with at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in the humanitarian aid sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Arabic; basic understanding of English preferred.
- Ability to remain composed and positive under pressure, handling tense situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Strong interpersonal skills with consistent, respectful behavior toward colleagues and beneficiaries.
