  • Organize and deliver community awareness-raising events as determined by project objectives.
  • Assist the Project team with project visibility and stakeholder engagements when necessary.
  • Support the field implementation of all project activities in accordance with the overall work plan.
  • Follow up on incoming and external referrals to other partners including assessment and response.
  • Contribute to providing training for community leaders on a regular basis.
  • Participate in the empowerment of women and adolescent girls in the sessions.
  • Coordinate with other relevant resources to ensure the delivery of further community awareness sessions on health and hygiene topics to reduce the risks of mortality rates
  • Follow up on referrals to other partners, ensuring a timely assessment and response to emergency needs
  • Participate in assessments to identify urgent needs and gaps in service provision, ensuring proper follow-up and reporting
  • Organize and conduct community awareness-raising events that are aligned with lifesaving interventions and repatriation processes.
  • Assist the project team with visibility efforts and stakeholder engagements related to emergency response and support for returnees.
  • Support the field implementation of all lifesaving project activities in accordance with the overall work plan.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions focused on essential health, safety, and humanitarian services.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the delivery of community awareness sessions on critical health and hygiene topics.
  • Identify and organize beneficiaries into groups for lifesaving awareness sessions (such as the use of fire extinguishers).
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information collected during field activities.
  • Support the collection and documentation of impact stories and successes related to repatriation efforts.
  • Assist in the daily operations of information desks by providing accurate and timely information on repatriation of affected populations
  • Monitor the implementation of lifesaving activities and services in reception sites, identifying gaps and reporting them for corrective action.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement support packages to assist camp residents in addressing urgent needs that facilitate repatriation.
  • Manage the reception, evaluation, and release of activity materials from the warehouse for lifesaving operations.
  • Prepare monthly plans and daily reports, submitting them to the relevant supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor to support lifesaving assistance and repatriation efforts.
  • Collecting beneficiaries and forming groups for sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all the information collected in the exercise of the job.
  • Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories.
  • Provide feedback and support to the community mobilization Officer to ensure that all project activities are completed.
  • Coordinate with other relevant resources to ensure the delivery of further community awareness sessions on health and hygiene topics.
  • Participate in (joint) assessments, identifying protection & other related concerns and reporting for follow-up. Identify vulnerable individuals and facilitate appropriate action, including referrals to specialized services and protective accompaniment as necessary.
  • Monitoring of activities and services provision on the reception sites in Blumont’s AoR, to identify existing or potential gaps and report for follow-up
  • Provide feedback and support to the community mobilization Officer to ensure that all project activities are designed with protection-integrated approaches, with the needs of women, girls, boys, and men clearly considered and included in the design.
  • Plan, coordinate, manage, and implement support packages to help camp residents deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies.
  • Receiving, evaluating, and releasing activities materials from the warehouse.
  • Preparing the monthly plan and the daily report and delivering it to the community mobilization Officer.
  • Perform other duties, as required by the supervisor.

 

  • Less than 1 year of experience in protection Preferably in Humanitarian NGOs.

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • knowledge of and protection in humanitarian and resilience settings, including protection, humanitarian policy issues, and their linkage with Food assistance, NFIs, WASH, and CCCM.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Excellent English and Arabic languages (writing and speaking) are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with both community members in a sensitive and respectful manner ensuring that all community members are represented.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation, with a strong commitment to humanitarian principles and a high sense of ethics.
  • Good reporting skills.
