Operations and Coordination Volunteer (4 Openings)
Location: Al-Hasakah city (2 positions) and Ar-Raqqa city (2 positions), Northeast Syria
Position Overview
We are seeking four dedicated and highly motivated volunteers to support our team in Northeast Syria. The Operations and Coordination Volunteers will play a crucial role in representing our organization in key forums, conducting on-the-ground assessments, and ensuring effective communication with our partners. We are specifically looking for two volunteers to be based in Al-Hasakah and two in Raqqa
Please note: This is a volunteer role. No salary is provided, and this does not guarantee future paid work with the organization
:Key Responsibilities
Coordination Meetings: Represent the NGO in humanitarian coordination and cluster meetings with UN agencies and other NGOs
Partner Engagement: Participate in and document meetings with local and international partners
Field Assessments: Conduct regular field visits to project sites and communities to assess needs and monitor activities
Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate reports, including field visit summaries, meeting minutes, and situational updates
Logistical Support: Assist with the day-to-day operational tasks of the office and field activities
Based in Ar-Raqqah or Al-Hasakah
At least 2 years’ experience in humanitarian aid, development projects, and emergency response is essential.
A bachelor's or diploma's degree is required.
Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including local communities, government authorities, donors, and other NGOs.
Fluency in English & Arabic is essential, and Kurdish is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office package including MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook.
