Blumont is a global organization working with communities in transition as they recover from
conflict, return from displacement, and move from a reliance on aid to a more resilient future.
Our vision is a world where a community’s future is not determined by its circumstances, but by
the aspirations of its people. Whether delivering lifesaving humanitarian assistance, building the
infrastructure that stabilizes communities, or creating economic opportunities for individuals and
businesses, Blumont teams are committed to making a positive difference in peoples’ lives.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Social Worker plays a key role in supporting the psychosocial well-being, resilience, and
social reintegration of individuals and communities affected by displacement. The position
focuses on community-based, preventive, and group-level psychosocial support (PSS) and social
cohesion interventions, targeting returnees, host community members, children, adolescents,
women, men, older persons, and persons with disabilities.
Working under the supervision of the Social Counselor (and in cooperation with the Social
Cohesion Officer), the Social Worker serves as a bridge between the case management and
social cohesion programming pillars. They deliver structured PSS activities that help individuals
manage stress, rebuild coping mechanisms, and strengthen positive social interactions. The role
contributes to reducing community tensions, promoting peaceful coexistence, and supporting
safe and sustainable reintegration in areas of return through inclusive and conflict-sensitive
approaches.
The Social Worker also plays an important role in early identification of protection concerns
encountered during community activities and ensures timely and appropriate referral of cases to
Case Workers for specialized case management, in line with approved SOPs. The position
requires strong facilitation skills, cultural sensitivity, adherence to protection principles, and a
commitment to dignity, confidentiality, and accountability to affected populations.
Please note: This role is contingent upon the execution of award. Hiring decisions and
employment start dates are subject to funding availability. This is a local role; no expat benefits
will be provided.
