
The Area Stewardship Units (ASU) is an innovative professional stewardship body to support planning, management and coordination of the health care services at area level. It is tasked to organize, support, monitor, and report on core activities at cantonal level to the relevantCommittee of Health (CoH) and to the UPP ASU Support Team in theERSHAD Project.
ASU Partnership Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the cantonal Health Committee and with technical support and oversight fromthe dedicated UPP ASU Support Team under ERSHAD project (composed by UPP Area Health Officer in each area, the UPP Health Coordinator, the UPP Health governance Specialist and other relevant specialists based on the specific roles and functions). She/he will support in establishing partnerships with different stakeholders (relevant health actors in the territory) for the delivery of health services in line with an established territorial health protocol, subscribed by each partner, according to the master plan of the canton
The ASU Partnership Coordinator Will be involved with the Medical Coordinator and the Area Health Officer in Stakeholders Mappingand public health interventions in the area
• Will be responsible to conduct Bilateral discussions, meetings, communications and coordination with different partners including international and local NGOs, syndicates, unions and networks of health care professionals, the private sector, local health authorities and professional unions, and others.
• Establishing the particular partnership protocol (PP) and ensure that the PP is signed with the stakeholders aimed to joint planning alignment, regulation and eventual contribution to the health care delivery in the area focused on public health needs responsiveness, according to the Area Based Approach strategy and the area Health Master Plan.
• Establishing coordination mechanism among the Local Health Authority and other stakeholders at are level on the basis of delivering joint health service related functions and
• Monitoring and evaluation of PPs of the Canton.
Syrian nationality, from Qamishli area in origin or a permanent resident of the area.
o Degree in medicine, nursery or any other health profession, with strong capabilities in health management and health stakeholders' coordination.
o Minimum of two years’ experience in public health management/partnership and preferable in leadership and coordination within a health sector in the area.
o Proven experience and engagement with local dynamics, the local organizations and the NGOs activity
o Good knowledge of key components of health care packages, and the context of the health system in NES and in the area.
o Demonstrated communication and coordination capacities with good knowledge of the health stakeholders in the area.
o Kurdish and Arabic languages are basic, English is a merit.
o Available and committed for the project contract time (minimum of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week).

Other aspects that will merit are:
o Master or higher studies in public health
o Proven leadership and management capacity.
o Demonstrated coordination and communication skills.
o Excellent capacity to work in team.
o Proven capacities to plan activities successfully targeting results and objectives.
o Experience of planning, organizing and prioritizing work, working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
o Ability to work under pressure in stressful environments
