Accountability and Complexity
Follow up on all nutrition activities at the health facility level, and ensure that all activities are consistent with
the Rl plan and implemented on time.Register and gather all nutrition data at the health facility, and submit the data to Nutrition officer on a regular basis.
Ensure that all nutrition data requirements are filled in RI's dedicated template for every nutrition activity.
Participate in designing RI nutrition plan at the field level, by providing inputs on the field context and nutrition requirements.Support all medical and non-medical staff in implementing nutrition activities according to RI plan.
Suggest the required staff and tools for nutrition services to Nutrition officer.
Suggest the needed capacity building for the facility staff that are related to nutrition.
Provide information to the beneficiaries and stakeholders in relation to directions, update on patient status, and the available services.
Educate and instruct patients on the needed home care.
Provide technical support for the community health team.
Participate in social mobilization activities and in the design of culturally sensitive IEC materials.
Conduct nutrition promotion activities, community outreach and facility-based nutrition education focusing on IYCF, growth monitoring and maternal nutrition, dissemination of IEC materials.
Educate mothers on the importance of adhering to the therapeutic food treatment to the malnourished children.
All other duties and tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Essential criteria
• Diploma in Health, Nutrition, Nursing or related field with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in
implementation of CMAM managing OTP
activities with NGO.
Desirable criteria
The preferred candidate should be resident or willing to live in the duty location
Have technical background and knowledge on IYCF or CMAM and demonstrable work experience in
Excellent communication skills• Must be fluent in written and spoken Arabic, English knowledge would be an asset
