Position: HR Assistant
Direct manager position: HR & Admin Officer.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE (BRIEF):
The HR Assistant is responsible for all daily HR related tasks of the health centers, supported by the HR officer in AFH office located in Ar Raqqa Office, supervised by HR Officer based in Ar Raqqa.
Project/ Workplace: Northeast Syria, Ar Raqqa

General Description of the Role & Main Responsibilities:
· Assist in job postings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
· Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including paperwork and orientation schedules.
· Prepare and distribute HR-related documents such as employment contracts and AFH policies.
· Assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and leave policies.
· Maintain leave records, process leave requests, and update leave balances accurately.
· Aid in the payroll process by gathering and verifying timesheets or relevant data.
· Assist in organizing HR-related meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
· Prepare and administer employment contracts, contract amendments, and extension letters.
· Assist in ensuring HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements are adhered to.
· Maintain compliance with labor laws and regulations, updating policies as necessary.
· Maintain and update the staff database on a weekly basis.
· Manage staff leave requests, maintain accurate leave records, and update leave balances in the tracker.
· Follow up monthly on the submission of timesheets for all staff.
· Ensure proper maintenance and regular updates of personnel files for all staff, both physical and digital.
· Scan and organize all documents, maintaining an organized electronic database of files.
· Coordinate the acquisition of IDs and creation of email accounts for new employees.
· Undertake any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
University degree in Education, Social Work, or related field with good knowledge of International Human Rights, Psychology, Education and Protection Principles

· Experience in working with NGOs in relevant role.
· Good in spoken and written English.
