The IT Officer manages computer networks for all business types, providing technical assistance and ensuring the operation runs smoothly. IT Support is in charge of monitoring and maintaining the company's computer systems, as well as installing, configuring, and resolving any technical issues that may occur. The nature of the position requires it.

The inventory officer's material management responsibilities include the procurement and distribution of materials, products, items, and other objects. This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff involved in inventory management to ensure optimal inventory levels and compliance with quality standards. Additionally, he or she is responsible for tracking inventory data and guaranteeing its accuracy.

 

Because of the nature of the IT department in humanitarian organizations, the IT officer may be needed to work outside of normal business hours or be on call most of the time.

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software on computer hardware, including servers, Windows Servers, Active Directory, QNAP (NAS) storage systems, and other Windows and IT systems.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network systems, including network switches, cabling, Wi-Fi, IP phones, and security cameras; diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.

  • Manage and maintain shared drives, backup systems, SharePoint, and OneDrive, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

  • Provide technical support to employees by resolving IT issues related to printers, scanners, Wi-Fi, software, and hardware. Conduct training on newly released software, including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat DC. Assist with creating digital signatures, preparing forms in Adobe Acrobat DC, and organizing online meetings and events in Microsoft Teams.

  • Travel between offices and field sites as required to support IT operations.

  • Test, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve organizational efficiency.

  • Replace and maintain IT equipment and parts as necessary.

  • Support HR in resolving fingerprint device and related system issues.

  • Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and assess market availability for IT equipment procurement.

  • Enter newly received IT assets into the database and maintain accurate records. Conduct physical audits and semi-annual updates of all recorded assets.

  • Generate reports for all locations and projects according to organizational requirements.

  • Manage project close-out procedures and documentation.

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls and network security systems across all offices and field sites.

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Certification in Asset Management – preferred.

  • CCNA Routing and Switching certification – preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in IT, network administration, or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, system administration, Active Directory, and modern Windows environments.

  • Proven ability to organize, categorize, manage, and analyze data and information efficiently.

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
