
The verification Assistant will be responsible for reviewing the supporting documents for payments of kerosene distribution in the Hol/Roj Camps, arranging, entering data to excel sheet, archiving, and packaging workpapers to Erbil.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
Compiles and sort documents of kerosene distribution, such as invoices and checks substantiating financial transactions. Maintains records through filling, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, updating, and purging.
Operates the computer to enter data into spreadsheet and/or database.
Operates office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, and calculator.
Implement financial policies and procedures.
Work closely with the officer to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
Assist with the annual audit.
Review all work papers of kerosene and make sure from total Liters distributed on a daily base.
Available to travel to camps and other work sites.
Reviews work papers of payments Kerosene for making payment by cash custodian or Hawala office.
Archiving documents of kerosene distribution.
Work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Cover for Al Hol/Roj Camp or other location’s finance person during the absence of the individual based on supervisor’s approval.
Available to travel to camps and other work sites for financial matters.
Could replace any staff of the Finance team of kerosene distribution in urgent cases.
Any other reasonably duty as assigned by supervisor.
Diploma Certificate in a related field.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
• Less than 1 year of related experience in Finance field within an International NGOs or similar associations will be preferable.
• Ability to write and speak in English.
• Microsoft Office software and computer literate (Excel, Word).
• Archiving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and keep safe personal file.
