The field assistant will be responsible for supporting the Snr. Distribution assistant in overseeing and implementing the program activity in DEZ\ Abu Khashab camp in addition to supervising the program team and working together to ensure the delivery of the services to the targeted beneficiaries as per the project design and providing the required reports to the line manager.
Supervisory level: N\A
- Supervise and oversee the work to implement the program activity in Abu Khashab camp.
- Responsible for flour distribution and the daily Bread production and Distribution in assigned camp.
- Collect the required information and send the daily reports of the program activity to the line manager.
- Follow with the Snr. distribution assistant and inform the line manager on the movement of Refugees/ IPDs in the assigned camp, follow and update the population statistics of the assigned camp, verify the number of households and populations as well as report on any required modifications (include new arrivals, exclude departures etc.).
- Update the line manager on any challenges of the program activity.
- Daily follow up with the team members under his/her supervision to support program activity implementation.
- Ensure program implementation is on time using effective MEL system to reach the desired impact.
- Assist team members with information, tools, support, resources and training to improve performance and reach objectives.
Ensure supporting the work system development by being initiative and keeping all trackers updated and shared (Monthly plan, distribution, staff movements, lesson learnt, etc.).
Ensure of archiving the program lifecycle such as (lesson learnt, distribution trackers,
coordination, reporting, etc.).
- Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence.
- Ensure filed level compliance with security procedures/policies and ensure that team members operate in a secure environment and are aware of policies.
- Perform any other related duties as reasonably requested by the supervisor.
University or institute in a related field, such as agriculture, food security, and humanitarians are preferred.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Less than one year’s experience in food emergency project implementation, preferably with
an international humanitarian NGO.
- Experience in data collection, survey and date analysis is preferred.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Good skills in English and Arabic language.
- Ability to travel to all the program areas in north-east of Syria.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Good skill in ODK/KOBO
