This role involves supporting the daily operations of the oncology project,coordinating with the Health Officer, Health manager, and directorate of health, timely reporting, and resolution of challenges. Key responsibilities include assisting incident reporting, managing staff schedules, providing administrative support, organizing staff leave, and contributing to the assessment of security risks to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the oncology project. The Oncology Project Assistant will also collaborate with the oncology team to ensure smooth project execution, support patient care initiatives, and help maintain a safe and compliant environment for staff and patients.
Assist the Health Officer in the following:
• Submit comprehensive reports to the Health Officer detailingoncology project-related needs, challenges, and operational gaps.
• Maintain proactive collaboration with project managers toaddress facility-related matters and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Guarantee timely and accurate submission of all mandatedreports to the organization, adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.
• Support daily operations of the oncology project, includingstaff performance, workflow efficiency, and fulfillment of the facility’s core requirements.
• Conduct regular audits of data collected across oncologydepartments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights.
• Promptly notify the Health Officer of incidents oremergencies, followed by thorough documentation and incident reporting.
• Assist in managing staff scheduling, including dailyattendance tracking for medical and administrative personnel, to ensure optimal staffing levels.
• Provide support to the Administrative Director, offering guidance to enhancedepartmental efficiency.
• Coordinate leave schedules for oncology staff, balancing operational demandswith employee well-being.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any challengesencountered during follow-up
• Engage in regular consultations with the local authority tosolicit feedback, address concerns, and foster collaborative decision-making.
• A diploma or degree in a medical or administrative discipline from an accredited institute or college.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the relevant field.
• Microsoft package Level: Good
