OVERVIEW
Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights is a charitable organization supporting survivors of human rights violations, defending fundamental freedoms, and promoting democratic values throughout the world. Our programs provide mental health, medical treatment, and other support services to survivors of trauma, terror, domestic violence, and human rights violations.
We are seeking applications for the following position:
Position: Receptionist
Status: Part-time employee (24 Hours/week) (5 days)
Based: Syria – Serekanye Camp
Reports to: The Receptionist reports to the Administrative Assistant and the Center Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Receives, documents and communicates incoming phone calls
Schedules and communicates clients' appointments
Receives clients and guests of the organization at the reception desk; assists them with finding their way to the appointments
Documents patient data and visitor statistics.
REQUIREMENTS
Excellent Kurdish and Arabic skills (listening, speaking, and writing); English is an advantage.
completed bachelor's degree ( Preference is given to those with a degree in psychology, sociology, or psychological counselling.)
Willingness to travel frequently, nationally and internationally, including multi-day trips.
undertake any activity aimed at protecting clients, particularly children and youth, from violence and harm
ability to work in an interdisciplinary team and cooperation with other staff members, centers and external partners.
Active interest in promoting human rights and social justice , awareness of current events both nationally and internationally
He/she must be a resident of the camp
