The Area Stewardship Units (ASU) is an innovative professional stewardship body to support planning, management and coordination of the health care services at area level. It is tasked to organize, support, monitor, and report on core activities at cantonal level to the Committee of Health (CoH) and ERSHAD Project.
The ASU Partnership Coordinator will work within ASU board under the direct supervision of the cantonal Health Committee and with technical support from Area Health Governance Officer (HGO) and the Health Governance Coordinator (HGC) to support in Coordinating the operational activities of Health facilities and health services delivery in the cantonal area.
o Coordinate the operations and activities of Area Stewardship Units (ASU) in the area in collaboration with other ASU members, and under the direction of the local health committee and with support from ERSHAD Health Governance Officer (HGO).
o The Medical coordinator will supervise the function of the Area Stewardship Unit with the assistance of the UPP Area Health Officer, giving corresponding time and planning Will be responsible to conduct Bilateral discussions, meetings, communications and coordination with different partners including international and local NGOs, syndicates, unions and networks of health care professionals, the private sector, local health authorities and professional unions, and others.
o Working closely with both Local Authorities and UPP Area Health Officer (HGO) to Increase the knowledge on the health system in the canton to interlink and integrate health needs response especially the response to epidemics and outbreaks
o Establishing the particular partnership protocol (PP) and ensure that the PP is signed with the stakeholders aimed to joint planning alignment, regulation and eventual contribution to the health care delivery in the area focused on needs responsiveness, according to the Area Based Approach strategy and the area Health Master Plan.
o Establishing coordination mechanism among the Local Health Authority and other stakeholders at are level on the basis of delivering joint health service related functions and
o Syrian nationality, from the area in origin or a permanent resident of the area.
o Medical profession or health-related accreditation fully completed (doctor or nurse, or any other relevant medical profession), with preferable demonstrated experience in managing health care systems.
o Minimum of three years’ experience in health and preferable in leadership and coordination within a health sector in the area.
o Good knowledge of key components of health care packages, and the context of the health system in NES and in the area.
o Demonstrated communication and coordination capacities with good knowledge of the health stakeholders in the area.
o Kurdish and Arabic languages are basic, English is a merit.
o Experience in creating reports
o Disponible and committed for the project contract time (minimum of 6 hours a day, 5 days a week).
