
The Distribution Assistant works to support the implementation of material and aid distribution activities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. The role includes assisting in field preparations for distribution operations, organizing beneficiary lists, ensuring the accuracy of items delivered and received, and contributing to the preparation of field reports while adhering to quality standards and humanitarian accountability principles.
Register assisted beneficiaries in distribution list demonstrating the type of assistance.
Assist in referring the cases to the relevant service providers and follow up to ensure proper actions have been taken.
Organize the daily/weekly/monthly work plan, in coordination with the line managers.
Implement all distribution activities and monitor and support any activities implemented. such as providing public services in the camp.
Register assisted beneficiaries in distribution list demonstrating the type of assistance.
Conduct ad hoc surveys and assessments for camp needs (FIs, NFIs, tents, Kerosene, Gas Stove , Gas cylinders, and Fire extinguisher,...etc)
Deal with complaints or issues related to distribution through suitable mechanisms.
Ensure the implementation of distribution plans as required and report all potential gaps during distributions.
Conduct post distribution monitoring, bilateral interviews and/or focus group discussion with vulnerable displaced households in order to identify specific needs and refer to the identified cases.
Prioritize vulnerable cases during distribution and provide needed support.
Ensure beneficiaries are respected and cared for during all the Identification activities
Manage conflicts when they arise and always find solutions.
Permanent readiness to travel to the places required to work in the camps.
Responsible for organizing families into designated blocks and monitoring their daily movements. Prepared and maintained updated lists for each block to ensure an efficient and fair distribution of bread and water to all beneficiaries.
Responsible for inspecting the quality of materials stored in the warehouses to ensure they meet required standards before distribution to beneficiaries.
Archiving distribution lists and uploading them to the organization’s digital library, as well as sending the hard copies to the main office.
Fulfill any other duties as requested and/or needed.
