Main responsibilities:

• Protect, using unarmed and non-violent means, CvT’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle parking, to prevent, detect or report signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Securely and politely, maintain access control, meaning receiving guests and visitors in a secure and polite way.
• Adhere to CvT rules, guard rules, code of conduct, and humanitarian principles of not being involved in any active conflict
• Follow up any security breaches and immediately report to all staff
• Patrol randomly or regularly building / warehouses and perimeter.
• Watch video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft or violent acts.
• Use CVT’s records to write the daily activities and, such as staff movement or staff attended, visitors, and complaints
• Call Free Police or civil defence in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

Security procedures & preparedness
• Know all of the active SOPs and CPs including: SOP for Medical Assistance, Evacuation Plan for your office and the CP on Medical Evacuation
• Ensure that SOPs and CPs are being followed in the office and communicate any shortcomings to the Security Manager and the Security officer (SO).
 

Information collection & analysis
• Maintain awareness of the safety and security of CVT locations, routes, distribution points and other project sites and their surroundings and report to the SO.
