General objective of the position:
The Oncology MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) Worker is responsible for providing emotional and
psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families throughout the course of diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Offer individual and group support sessions to patients and caregivers.
• Conduct psychological assessments and identify emotional or mental health needs.
• Provide psychoeducation on coping strategies, stress management, and emotional resilience.
• Work closely with oncologists, nurses, and project managers to ensure a holistic care approach.
• Refer patients to specialized mental health services if needed.
• Support patients in navigating life changes, body image concerns, grief, and end-of-life issues.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Mandatory Qualifications required
• Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• At least 1-2 years of working experience in the relevant field.
Languages
• Arabic Level: Fluently
• English Level: Desirable
