General information:
Place of work: eastern Deir Ez-Zor countryside - Alsusa- PHCC
Working system: Administrative 8 hours per day, 5 days per a week
The main responsibilities of an internist include:
Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well as chronic conditions like high
blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. Ordering laboratory tests and imaging procedures as needed.
Prescribing and administering medications, treatments, and other specialized medical care for treatment or
prevention of diseases.
Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients. Monitoring and assessing
patients' conditions and progress, and reevaluating treatments as necessary.
Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including dietary recommendations, physical activity, hygiene,
and disease prevention.
Keeping detailed notes about appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or prescribed treatments,
and test results.
Referring patients to other medical specialists when necessary. Providing support and counseling to patients
receiving long-term care .
A university degree in human medicine with 3 years of experience- required
Specialization certificate in internal medicine with 2 years of experience - preferred
Proof of specialization studies with a 50% rate and 3 years of experience - required
skills :
Analytical skills: Ability to evaluate medical cases and clinical data to determine the appropriate diagnosis and
treatment.
Decision-making: Ability to make quick and accurate medical decisions based on available information, while
considering patient safety.
Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly with patients and the healthcare team, to explain
treatment plans and provide emotional support.
Work under pressure: Ability to work efficiently under pressure, especially in emergency situations or during
busy times
