  • Carry out field visits to the organization’s sites in both camps and communities to take high quality pictures and short videos suitable for web and print publishing.  
  • Support in coordinating with the program teams to proactively identify, gather, and produce powerful case studies; take photos of general activities, emergency responses, distributions, awareness raising campaigns and the projects that are implemented by the organization.
  • Support in conducting in-depth video interviews with beneficiaries for different reports including media, donor and global reports.
  • Edit all videos and interviews collected by the Communications and Media team for different purposes.
  • Design, layout and format publications, capacity statements, reports, infographics, brochures, posters, newsletters and other communications materials (taking into account the organization’s branding guidelines).
  • Design and create illustrations, maps, tables, charts and other graphic elements.
  • Support in building the capacity of both staff and organization’s partner in photography, as needed. 
  • Be available during emergencies to support rapid communication needs, including gathering and producing content.
  • Any other tasks assigned from the line manager that fit the position holder's qualifications and the organization policies and procedures.  

A bachelor's degree or a certificate in Media or Computer Engineering is an advantage, in addition to any other related qualifications."

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least two years of experience in media work, photography and graphic designing, this is essential.
  • Proven knowledge of Adobe Programs (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, lightroom,) is essential.
  • Flexibility to frequently travel to the field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding and commitment to the social norms, customs, and traditions within Northeast Syria.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging work load

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

 

  • Previous working experience in the humanitarian field.
  • Previous working experience with children.
