following outlines the specific responsibilities, skills, competencies, and experiences required for the position of Kurdish Language Facilitator in the displacement camps. This position will be referred to later as CBNSW (Community-Based Non-Staff Worker).

 

General Responsibilities:

 

1- Ensuring adherence to the policies and tools of the education program, as well as compliance with the guidelines and procedural standards for facilitators in training centers.

2- Providing support in implementing delegated educational activities in line with the curriculum plan.

3- Collaborating with the education team to reach the most vulnerable beneficiaries.

4- Facilitating communication with beneficiaries in the camp to assist the education program in achieving its project goals.

5- Maintaining the center's facilities and tools within classrooms and workshops.

6- Assist in covering the facilitator’s tasks in their absence.

7- Report any difficulties hindering the workflow.

8- Ability to move within the camp to follow up with students and their families.

9- Work in a manner that respects the dignity and rights of all children and their families, integrating protection activities with the educational process.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

• Teaching the Kurdish language according to the curriculum set by the Education Authority.

• Conducting periodic and final assessments for children and tracking students' progress.

• Designing educational materials to support lessons.

• Implementing informal education and teaching core subjects (Arabic, Mathematics, Biology, and English).

• Accurately recording daily student attendance data and ensuring its validity, and following up on absentee students.

• Organizing awareness sessions to build positive relationships with caregivers and parents.

• Preparing daily extracurricular activities, ensuring the inclusion of interactive and age-appropriate elements for youth.

• Coordinating with the life skills facilitator and the assistant education coordinator to implement initiatives and plan open-day activities for teachers and students.

• Managing activities to ensure the participation of all students, organizing competitions in sports, arts, and sciences.

• Assisting in the mobilization and registration of students.

• Developing and evaluating educational activities that support the learning process.

• Organizing awareness sessions to foster positive relationships with caregivers and parents.

• Supervising and monitoring students during training and school hours, guiding them, and addressing their inquiries.

• Monitoring and supporting all children within the educational center and ensuring the center provides a safe environment for children.

• Performing and contributing to any job-related activity under the direct supervision of the line manager.

 

2. Competencies

 

Competencies are essential for Community-Based Non-Staff Workers in the education program to achieve the desired outcomes, including the skills, knowledge, and experiences necessary for effective performance and implementation of program activities as follows:

 

General Professional Competencies:

 

• Ability to work in non-formal education within camps.

• Previous experience in education, particularly with children.

• Ability to interact with children, especially within the camp setting.

• Capability to assess and follow up on issues such as school dropout in the camps.

 

A university degree in education, pedagogy, sociology, psychology, humanities, or a related field.

• A diploma from a technical institute plus at least one year of prior experience in education, or a high school diploma with at least two years of prior experience in education.

• Previous experience in education or training, or experience in a related field is preferred.

 

Personal Skills:

 

• Strong and effective communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Utilization of professional development opportunities to enhance daily practices.

• Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues.
