Technical support for the implementation of medical activities and ensuring quality and standards through regular supportive supervision of the activities in the assigned health facilities.

• Oversee the components of health activities (Surveillance, communicable disease, emergency care, child health & Nutrition, NCD, Reproductive Health & community health).

• Provide support in the development of medical protocols, and SOPs to enhance best practices.

• Support in health needs identification/assessments, proposal development, and program designs.

• Participate in the regular monthly Health technical committee meetings.

• Technical support of the assigned health facilities in studying disease trends, data analysis, training, supervision checklist reports, updates on medical stocks, and Sitrep.

• Deliver targeted training and coaching for frontline healthcare workers on trauma relevant SoPs, protocols and guidelines as well as regular supportive supervision,practical mentorship and on-the-job trainings EmergencyPreparedness

• Design and plan Emergency and Outbreak Response Mechanisms and ensure timely and effective activation of the response plans in the supported HFs in collaboration with the Health Department and other relevant internal and external.

• Lead initiatives on Health Promotion, Community Engagement and RCCE on most relevant public health issues in areas of intervention and affected communities throughout mobilizing CHWs in regular awareness campaigns.

• Collaborate with UPP Logistic and Medical Supply Chain to ensure regular and timely procurement and delivery of essential medicines, medical supplies and Equipment to the HFs funded through UPP health projects.

• Coordinate with MEAL/IM team to ensure accurate and proper HMIS in place, regular checks on medical records and data quality assurance, regular morbidities and trendsanalysis and timely response to any abnormal trends of diseases.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Health Coordinator to generate periodic monthly and quarterly internal and donor reports on health activities, scooping key outcomes and impacts of the health interventions.

• Represent UPP in internal and external coordination events and platforms including regular meetings with KRC, Local Health Authorities, WHO and other stakeholders

• Coordinate with UPP’s Health Governance team to align service delivery with broader health system objectives

• Support the Health Coordinator in mentoring and coaching UPP Health department members fostering the team’s technical capacities, maintaining good level of team work and collaboration and helping the team members to achieve their goals and objectives.
