The Technology Skills Trainer is responsible for designing and delivering engaging training sessions for youth and adolescent participants, focusing on digital literacy and applied technical skills such as ICDL, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and KOBO Toolbox for data collection. The trainer plays a pivotal role in empowering young people with future-ready skills that enhance employability, critical thinking, and self-confidence. This role aligns with ORGANIZATION’s mission to strengthen educational outcomes and resilience within communities affected by displacement and vulnerability.

Deliver structured and interactive training sessions in ICDL, AI basics, and KOBO data collection tools.

• Develop tailored content and hands-on activities that address the learning needs and interests of youth participants.

• Prepare and organize visual materials, handouts, digital tools, and practice exercises.

• Track and document participant attendance and ensure consistent engagement throughout the program.

• Submit weekly progress reports, including achievements, challenges, and feedback-based recommendations.

• Coordinate with education staff and the technical officer to review and adapt training materials as needed.

• Incorporate protection principles and psychosocial sensitivity into delivery methods.

• Conduct initial needs assessments or skill diagnostics in collaboration with the education team.

• Ensure inclusion of youth feedback in refining future training sessions and tools.

• Uphold ORGANIZATION’s Code of Conduct, safeguarding policies, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

• Support logistics, documentation, and administrative aspects of training in alignment with ORGANIZATION processes.



 

University or institute degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or related fields.

• Certificate from a recognized computer training institute.

• Proven experience delivering ICDL and KOBO training to youth groups.

• Prior experience in humanitarian work or education programming.

• Strong understanding of digital learning platforms and youth-friendly methodologies.

• Ability to facilitate training independently and collaboratively within team environments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with youth audiences.

• Resilience and capacity to manage stress under demanding conditions.

• Strong organizational and administrative abilities, including report writing and content development.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and digital assessment techniques.
