POSITION SUMMARY:

The Crowd Controller supports the safe and organized movement of people during distribution or public events. The role ensures crowd safety, guides beneficiaries, and assists in maintaining order and smooth operations in accordance with the organization’s procedures and security guidelines.

Maintain crowd control and organization at identification, verification, distribution, and departure sites.
• Guide and assist beneficiaries through waiting areas, queues, and service points to ensure an orderly and respectful process.
• Ensure safe and prioritized access for persons with specific needs (elderly, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and children).
• Coordinate with the Identification and Distribution Officers to implement site flow plans and security arrangements.
• Monitor and control access to identification and distribution areas, ensuring only authorized persons enter.
• Assist in organizing beneficiaries during distributions — arranging them in lines, ensuring that ration cards or identification tags are checked, and that individuals receive the correct assistance.
• Maintain calm and respectful communication with beneficiaries to prevent crowd tension or conflict.
• Report any incidents, risks, or irregularities immediately to the Distribution Officer.
• Support in preparing and closing the site daily — ensuring materials and crowd control barriers are properly set up and secured.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Identification Officer or Distribution Officer related to crowd management and beneficiary flow.

Education:

High School Certificate.

 

 

Experience:

Less than 01 year with NGOs in the distribution field or any relevant filed  

 

 

Skills/Competencies:

• Fluency in Arabic and Kurdish language.

• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.

• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.

• Surveillance skills and detail orientation.

• Have high standards of ethics and integrity.

• Flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
